About Pastor Dart

 

Pastor Dart is a graduate of Concordia College, Seward, NE, and of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. Since 1998 he has served in various Calls within the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod as a high school teacher, Pastor, and chaplain. 

He taught music and theology at Lutheran High Northeast, Norfolk, NE., and choir at Lutheran High School North, St. Louis, Mo. His vicarage year took the Darts to Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Moines, IA., before he was called as associate pastor at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Spokane, WA. 

Pastor Dart transitioned from the Navy Reserve to active duty in 2007. He held billets with Marine Corps infantry units, an amphibious ship in Japan, submarines, and the Coast Guard, supporting missions from combat to disaster relief to interdictions at sea. He was installed as Pastor at Calvary in February 2017. 

He, Jeanette, and their sons Barrett and Toby have officially lived longer in Jacksonville than anywhere else to date. Pastor Dart is an avid fly fisherman and fly tier. He enjoys hunting, shooting, and reloading. He can be persuaded to play a few hands of Euchre and enjoys catechesis over coffee.
