The catastrophic damage to Western North Carolina caused by Hurricane Helene has provided us an opportunity to love and serve our neighbors there. Several members of Calvary Lutheran have been traveling to the effected regions to assist in clean-up, repair, delivery of much needed relief supplies, and to help in any way needed. Many people in the region are still isolated or without basic goods and services, including potable water and heat. Trinity (LCMS) in Tryon, NC was damaged significantly, and efforts are ongoing to shore up and salvage that church and assist members of that congregation. We are still taking donations to fund other relief trips, with a target goal of $500.00 for each trip for gas and travel expenses and will be collecting supplies from the list below to deliver. We welcome any contribution to the effort you can provide, in any form whatsoever, even if it is just encouragement and support. Supplies are being collected in the Narthex.
If you have questions please contact Jeff Wilburn or Mitch Moutard.
